Our Story

The Vanessa Lee Dance Academy was founded in July 2001 by Principal, Vanessa Corrie. Beginning with just 20 students, their success and enjoyment inspired others to join the VLDA family.

Today, Miss Vanessa, along with her seven dance teachers, and over a dozen student teachers, continue to share their experience, talent, and passion for dance with over 200 students.

The success of the school is a credit to the skill and love of dance that embodies all involved; with VLDA now regarded as the Illawarra’s leading dance school.

Our Mission

Dance is in everyone. It is the basic human emotion of moving to music. At VLDA, we recognise that not every dancer desires the same path. Our mission is to provide professional dance instruction and instil an appreciation for the art of dance in a safe, high-quality studio environment. We encourage students of all ages and skill levels to excel to their fullest potential whilst having fun.
